Arrive at training with something to work on
You do not need ten new goals every week. You need a clear next step: a skill to practise, a plan you can follow and a way to come back to it. Clutch's personal training tools let you organise your own work and goals alongside your life with a team.
You can start personal training without waiting for a club to join. When you are linked to a team, the schedule and content your club shares add the context for your week. Your personal plan and the coach's team work each have a place.
Find your stats and understand what they cover
When game data is available and linked to the right player, Clutch brings those statistics into your account. Keep track of the games behind the numbers instead of relying on an old screenshot or a name match that could belong to someone else.
Coverage depends on the competition data published in Clutch. Creating an account does not automatically import every game you have played, and the app does not record a box score just because you attended a match. If your stats are missing, first check your club connection and whether that game has been published.
Build a profile that carries your sporting story
A useful player profile connects who you are with the basketball you have played. Your sporting details and recorded club history help give that story context. Keep the details accurate and ask the club or federation to check gaps in official records rather than creating a second account.
When Nexus is activated for you, your recruitment card can bring together your player details, season information and highlights. Official statistics and player-submitted season information have different sources; they should not be presented as the same thing.
Stay connected to the team you actually play for
The right club invitation matters. It connects your account to the correct team, rather than leaving you with a separate profile that looks similar but cannot see the team's content. If you already have an account, tell your club before anyone creates another record for you.
Once connected, you can see the schedule and the team material shared with your role. Access depends on the club's setup and permissions. Being a player in one team does not open private information from other teams.
Explore a next step through Nexus, when you choose
Nexus lets eligible players browse available club openings and apply with a recruitment card. Opportunities depend on what participating clubs have actually published. A profile is a way to present yourself clearly; it is not a promise of a trial, a contract or a response.
Discovery is optional. Sending an application does not automatically make your profile discoverable to everyone. For players under 18, Nexus participation and applications are controlled through a confirmed parent. Private staff notes and medical information are not public profile material.
Researching a basketball agent or an overseas opportunity? Start with our guide to basketball agents and agencies and our overseas basketball opportunities checklist. They explain how to prepare your information and check what is being offered. Clutch is a player platform, not an agency or a guarantee of placement.
Start with one useful action
Open Clutch, choose Sign up to create your free player account, check the basics on your profile and choose one personal training goal. If you already have an account, log in to that one. If you belong to a club, ask its administrator for an invitation to your specific team. You can then check the games and content that are available to you.
The player profile and stats guide explains what to check before comparing numbers or sharing a recruitment card. Start with accurate information and a reason to return after your next training session.
Questions, answered
Before you get started
Is a player account free?
Yes. Player accounts are free, including personal training tools and a player profile. Club content depends on your club connection and what it shares. Nexus access follows its eligibility and activation rules; under-18 participation is managed by a confirmed parent.
Can I use Clutch without being in a club?
You can start your personal training and profile without a club. Team schedules, shared team content and linked competition statistics depend on the relevant club connection and available data.
Why are my game stats missing?
Check that you are linked to the right team and existing player record, and that the game statistics have been published in Clutch. Ask your club to check the link rather than creating another account.
Do I need to use Nexus to use personal training?
No. Your personal training and profile are useful on their own. Exploring recruitment opportunities is a separate choice, subject to Nexus eligibility and activation.
Can a player under 18 apply to a club through Nexus alone?
No. Under-18 Nexus participation and applications require the confirmed parent's control and approval. A free player account does not remove those safeguards.
