Clutch is a team management and player development application. By creating an account you agree to these terms. If you're accepting on behalf of a club, you confirm you're allowed to.
Keep your login private, give us accurate information, and be at least 16 to hold your own account. Younger players join through parent consent (see our Privacy Policy). You're responsible for what happens under your account.
Clubs record information about their players: ratings, test results, attendance, notes and similar. The club decides what is recorded, why, which staff can see it, and how long it is kept. In data protection language that makes the club the controller for its players' data and responsible for it. Clutch provides the tool. We store, display and protect that data on the club's instructions, which makes us the processor. We do not decide what your club records about its players, and we do not use it for anything of our own.
By using Clutch as a coach, or on behalf of a club, you confirm that you have the right to record this data for your players, including any consent the law where you operate requires when a player is a minor, and that you will tell players and parents what you record and why. Recording something in Clutch that your club should not be recording is your club's decision, not ours.
None of that moves responsibility around by agreement, and we are not asking you to accept that it does. We keep our own duties as a processor under Article 28 of the GDPR whatever these terms say. We also stay the controller for the data we decide about ourselves, which is your login, your account details and the records we keep to run the service. Those are described in our Privacy Policy.
Our advice, and it is advice rather than something we can do for you. Record only what you actually need. Share what you record with the player, and with their parent where the player is a child. Be ready to explain to a family why you hold it. Clutch is built to make that easy: you choose per player what that player can see of their own ratings, test results and reports, and a parent who has joined chooses what is shared with them. If your club decides to keep something from a player or a parent, that is your club's decision and your club should be able to explain it.
Everything you create is yours: plays, drills, session plans, notes, videos. You give us permission to store and display it, to you and to the people in your club you've shared it with. That's it; we don't own your playbook.
Don't misuse the service: no unauthorized access attempts, no scraping other clubs' data, no uploading unlawful content, no using Clutch to harass anyone. We can suspend accounts that break this.
Clutch has a free tier and paid tiers. Current beta clubs are on a free professional tier as a thank-you. Paid pricing will be announced clearly before anything is charged, and no paid feature will silently start costing money.
We work hard to keep Clutch fast, safe and available, including nightly backups, but the service is provided "as is", and we can't promise zero downtime or zero bugs. To the extent the law allows, our liability is limited to what you've paid us in the last 12 months. Nothing in these terms limits liability where the law says it can't be limited.
You can delete your account any time in Settings. If you own a club that still has other members, the app will not delete your account until you have transferred the club to another staff member, so that deleting your account never destroys everyone else's data. When you do delete, your login and personal data are removed from the live database straight away; encrypted backups age out within 30 days, and your name may still appear in notes other people wrote. We can terminate accounts that violate these terms. Clubs can request full deletion of club data at hello@useclutchapp.com.
If these terms change meaningfully we'll notify you in the app first. Continuing to use Clutch after that means you accept the new terms.
These terms are governed by the laws of Malta.
